Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Brooklyn Museum of Art
The second largest art museum in America: five floors and 1.5 million works of art, including one of the finest Egyptian collections in the world and a rotating calendar of special exhibits. Prospect Park
Designed by Frederick Law Olmstead and Calvert Vaux, the park comprises 526 acres of fields, woods, playgrounds, ball fields, horse paths, waterfalls, boat rentals, the Kate Wollman Rink, and the only urban Audubon Center. Every Sunday in the warm months, from 2pm – 7pm, the Congo Square Drummers congregate in Drummers Grove. Prospect Park Zoo

Brooklyn Childrens Museum

Labor Day Caribbean Carnival
More than a million revelers from every Caribbean nation, scores of floats, hundreds of dancers troops. Thousands of undulating dancers, steel bands galore. (and politicians shamelessly taking advantage of the exposure). They all dance and jump and march the five-mile route of Eastern Parkway. (718-773-4052)
